SADIYA RAMOS(suh-dEE-yah Rah-mOHs) was born in 1998 on the ninth day of May in Suffern, New York.


Her journey in ballet began at the age of six at the Dance Theatre of Harlem, under the guidance of Arthur Mitchell, where she traveled and performed with their ensemble at venues such as the Kennedy Center and the White House.

At the age of eight, Sadiya enrolled as a student at Ballet Academy East’s pre-professional program, where she built the foundation of her technique under Darla Hoover.

In 2011, she studied under Francios Perron at his newly founded school, French Academie of Ballet in which she performed classical repertoire, such as the Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.

Sadiya joined the Paul Taylor Teen Ensemble in 2015, where she performed an excerpt of Paul Taylor’s Branderburgs and Lost Found and Lost under the instruction of Raegan Wood.

She continued her training at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she will graduate in May 2020. During her studies, she was given opportunities to perform new works created by renowned choreographers including, Darrell Moultrie, Jennifer Archibald,  Juel D. Lane, Otis Sallid, and Yuri Yanowsky.

During her training, she attended programs including Bolshoi Ballet, Debbie Allen's Dance Academy, Alonzo King Line's, Peridance Contemporary Dance, and Counter Technique Workshops.
